Pizza Hut has taken a fun twist by blending the worlds of gaming and pizza with the introduction of the PIZZAWRMR. This quirky device is designed to perch on top of your PlayStation 5, ensuring your delicious pizza remains hot and ready while you dive into your gaming adventures. But here’s the catch—this isn’t some fancy new gadget for sale or a rare giveaway. Instead, enthusiasts can get their hands on the 3D printing files for free, courtesy of Pizza Hut Canada. Just sign up, download, tweak, and print the files as you wish.
Channeling the iconic red roof of the pizza chain’s restaurant design, the PIZZAWRMR opens up like a laptop, providing easy access to your slices. Pizza Hut claims it can hold several slices at once. Ingeniously, it utilizes the console’s hot exhaust to keep the pizza warm, which Pizza Hut’s marketing team cheekily describes as a blend of “science and engineering for the greater good.”
In the downloadable archive from Pizza Hut Canada, you’ll find STL files and a handy PDF guide for assembling your console warmer. This pack includes 3D printer files for various parts such as the body, stand, lid, and manifold. However, there’s a bit of a catch when it comes to compatibility. The design suits only consoles with rear ventilation dimensions of 11.7 x 1.31 inches. Plus, your 3D printer needs a bed size of at least 15 x 15 inches to create the PIZZAWRMR. Unfortunately, this means many popular 3D printers are out unless you’re willing to chop up the model. Suitable options could include an Elegoo Neptune 4 Max, a Prusa XL, or maybe an Elegoo Orange Storm Giga.
You’ll want to protect your console from any grease or crumbs, and Pizza Hut suggests using a foil tray measuring 34 x 23 x 2.5 centimeters inside the warmer. For some reason, they switched to metric for this part, possibly reflecting Canadian preferences. The company’s entertaining instructions note to kick off your gaming session first to heat up the PIZZAWRMR, and then place your pizza slices inside. A medium Pizza Hut pie is said to fit perfectly.
This isn’t the first time fast food companies have dabbled with gamer-friendly ventures. A few years ago, KFC brought us the KFConsole—a tongue-in-cheek creation that morphed into an actual gaming console with room for keeping your fried chicken warm.
