Lenovo recently unveiled the Legion Go S at CES 2025, and though it’s not hitting shelves until February 14th, you can already secure one for yourself from a few select retailers. As it stands, Best Buy is leading the pack with pre-orders available for this $729.99 handheld. We’ll keep you posted as other options pop up.
At the moment, you can only reserve the Windows-based edition of the Legion Go S. But don’t worry — Lenovo is planning to roll out a version with SteamOS at launch. Plus, we’ve heard that more configurations will be available come May.
Design-wise, the Legion Go S bears a striking resemblance to the Asus ROG Ally with its sleek, curved hand grips and offset thumbsticks. Yet, under the hood, it packs a more powerful punch. Featuring an AMD Ryzen Z2 CPU, it doubles the RAM and storage compared to the original ROG Ally. The device also boasts an impressive 8-inch display with a max resolution of 1920 x 1200, offering sharper visuals.
Perhaps the most notable shift is its integration of SteamOS. This change promises a more seamless and user-friendly interface than what you typically find with Windows-based handhelds.
