Can you believe it’s been a whole year since Palworld made its debut in early access? Time sure flies when you’re catching critters with big guns. While the initial excitement around this peculiar blend of Pokémon and firepower has mellowed a bit, the developers haven’t slowed down. Despite a hiccup involving a legal challenge from the Pokémon Company and Nintendo, the updates keep rolling in. Just recently, they shared an intriguing roadmap on Twitter outlining future features and enhancements that fans can get excited about.
Starting with the major updates, players can look forward to the introduction of co-op crossplay. This means teaming up with friends across different platforms will soon be a reality. Additionally, a world transfer feature will let you move your Pals to different settings, and they’re also planning to introduce a Final Boss and an intriguing endgame scenario. The game isn’t stopping there; new methods for leveling up your Pals, a bunch of fresh Pals, and new technology are on the horizon. Plus, stay tuned for collaborations with other games—turns out, that partnership with Terraria was just the beginning. Improvements in base Pal features, user interface, and world design are also on the list.
Naturally, everyone’s eager to know when these updates will drop. But here’s the catch—the developers haven’t pinned down exact dates yet. It’s more of a “stay tuned” situation, as they’ve only shared a list of what they’re working on. In the meantime, Palworld is hosting its first global popularity poll. Want to have a say in which Pal takes the crown? Cast your vote. Personally, I’m rooting for that Totoro-esque character wielding a gatling gun.
