Several Electronic Arts (EA) titles, such as those from the Battlefield and FIFA/EA Sports FC series, have been rendered unplayable due to server outages. Gamers began reporting issues connecting to EA Online as early as Sunday morning, with the bulk of the complaints coming from Battlefield enthusiasts.
### EA Online Servers Down: Affected Titles
The first sign of trouble was when I tried logging into Battlefield V—an excellent game, by the way, especially with its current bargain price in the PlayStation Store. An error message popped up, bluntly informing me I couldn’t connect to EA Online. After scouring the internet, it turned out that all Battlefield titles, including Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 2042, are facing this same hiccup.
Additionally, there are whispers that FIFA/EA Sports FC games aren’t immune to these connectivity woes either. As of now, I haven’t come across any reports of Apex Legends or EA’s other sporting franchises being affected. So, if you’re suddenly unable to log into EA’s servers, take a breath—it’s likely not your internet that’s acting up.
It’s a shame that these servers hit a snag on a Sunday morning, of all times. EA hasn’t yet addressed the issue publicly, and there’s no estimated time for a resolution. We’ll be sure to update this piece once EA Online is back up and running.
