Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is opening its doors wide this weekend with a free trial, offering players a chance to dive into its latest multiplayer maps and the Zombies map known as The Tomb. Having initially launched last October, Black Ops 6 quickly made waves in the multiplayer gaming community with its dynamic new omnimovement system—think sprinting, sliding, and diving in every conceivable direction! The game’s gripping single-player campaign also gained praise, as did the nostalgic return to round-based Zombies experiences with launch maps Terminus and Liberty Falls.
The launch of Season 2 just a few weeks back has added even more layers to Black Ops 6. Multiplayer enthusiasts can now explore new 6v6 battlefields like Dealership, Bounty, and Lifeline, and can unlock additional weapons through the battle pass. The latest modes, Gun Game and Overdrive, have also been introduced alongside the brand-new Slipstream Perk and War Machine Scorestreak. Over on the Zombies frontier, players can tackle the mysterious and treacherous challenges of The Tomb map, wielding the formidable Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon.
For those yet to try out Black Ops 6, this trial period is your golden ticket. Running from February 6 to February 10, you’re invited to experience both the multiplayer and Zombies gameplay. The trial includes 10 multiplayer maps—highlighting recent additions like Lifeline, Dealership, and Bounty—and Zombies enthusiasts can sink their teeth into the Liberty Falls map alongside the fresh Season 2 map, The Tomb.
As the free trial takes off, players can engage in various multiplayer modes such as Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Domination, along with the new offerings like Kill Order, Gunfight, and Overdrive. During the trial, you can try out Liberty Falls’ Directed Mode, perfect for new players still learning the ropes in Call of Duty Zombies. Although the Directed Mode for The Tomb will be available later in Season 2, it isn’t part of this free trial package. Another map, Terminus, hasn’t been included, likely because Treyarch wants to showcase the new Season 2 content.
Gamers who want to explore everything Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 offers should jump in before February 10. It’s important to note that the free trial doesn’t come with any special discounts on purchasing the full game. As we’re still in the early days of Season 2, fans will have to wait a bit longer before they can look forward to the mid-season Reload.
