Get ready to put your reflexes through their paces with DodgeCraft, the latest VR sports training game that has just landed on Quest and PlayStation VR2.
This is the second game from the creatives at INCISIV Ltd, a studio based in Belfast, known for previously developing CleanSheet Soccer. DodgeCraft aims to test your agility under the banner of “fast action with the art of deception.” It’s designed to enhance your evasion and tackling abilities across a variety of modes, and you can see the gameplay for yourself in the clip below.
The game offers two engaging modes. First up, ‘Dodge’Em’ challenges you with an asteroid belt, where you’ll work up a sweat dodging and weaving to avoid incoming meteorites. Then there’s ‘Run the Gauntlet,’ where you’ll fend off waves of bots and humanoids. These opponents use sneaky tactics to try to slip past you, and with mixed reality support, the experience becomes even more immersive.
In a prepared statement, INCISIV’s CEO, Professor Cathy Craig, shared that the game draws inspiration from her personal experiences with sports. Formerly playing as an out-half in Ulster Rugby, she often found it hard to confidently tackle.
“As a player, I tended to hesitate instead of going in for the hit. DodgeCraft provides a fantastic way to learn anticipation and decisive action as a defender, without the risk of getting injured. Essentially, it’s training without the pain!” she explained.
DodgeCraft is now available on both the Meta Quest platform and PlayStation VR2.
Interestingly, this article first appeared on December 10, 2024, and saw an update with a fresh trailer on February 13, 2025, coinciding with the release of the PlayStation VR2 version.
