Hi everyone, I’m Kit Navock, and I’ve recently taken on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Immersed. After selling my previous company, I found myself reflecting on what kind of work I wanted to pursue next and, more importantly, the sort of people I wanted to work alongside. That’s when I decided to join Immersed, inspired by the company’s groundbreaking vision. If you’re intrigued by what we’re doing, there’s an opportunity to invest and embark on this exciting journey with us. But first, let me give you a glimpse into how I arrived here.
Immersed was already on my radar long before I joined. I had invested early on and slowly got to know the team through casual meet-ups like movie nights and brainstorming sessions in their Austin office. I even ended up hiring someone from their group for my own company. What began as mere intrigue grew into genuine admiration for a team that is not only intelligent but also gritty, humble, and driven by a clear mission.
Fast forward a couple of months back, I found myself texting Renji, the founder of Immersed, about some basketball news. His response was straightforward and unexpected: “You should come work with us.”
At first, I took the call just to humor him. But Renji is a convincing guy, and the idea started to linger. I spent days mulling it over, reaching out to my trusted friends and mentors for advice. Up until then, I’d been enjoying life—consulting on a light schedule and basking in the aftermath of selling my company. However, this opportunity felt special.
Unanimously, my inner circle urged me to seize the chance.
So here I am, in a role that offers a salary lower than I’ve received in years, with equity that might take a while to materialize. But my decision wasn’t based on quick gains; it was about joining a talented team and participating in the development of a product that could potentially become the next tech powerhouse. Once I got firsthand experience with what they were creating, everything fell into place.
Let me introduce you to Visor, a cutting-edge XR device that defies expectations. While I’m relatively new to XR—not to technology as a whole, but specifically the AR/VR domain—I wasn’t the kind of person to be caught tinkering with VR setups in 2016. I’m more of a mainstream tech enthusiast. I tried out the Apple Vision Pro to explore spatial computing, and it was effective, making me more focused and productive. But then I experienced Visor, Immersed’s own headset, and realized it offered so much more than I ever anticipated.
Visor is remarkably light, weighing about 186 grams, lighter than my phone. It resembles a pair of thick sunglasses and operates independently with dual 4K micro-OLED displays plus a battery life of 3 hours. But the real magic lies in its functionality; it’s made for real productivity tools like VS Code, Figma, and Blender. It integrates seamlessly into your daily work routine, unlike many other devices out there.
This isn’t just a development kit or a novelty gadget. It’s not bulky, nor does it come with a hefty price tag like some other headsets. It’s practical, made for everyday use, and ready to be embraced by the world.
With Visor, we’re moving beyond being just an app. It marks the entrance to a comprehensive spatial computing platform, specifically designed for deep work, focus, and native 3D tools. This is akin to how Steve Jobs envisaged Apple—not as a mere product but as an entire ecosystem.
Central to this drive is Curator AI, an in-built co-pilot that comprehends your workflow, easing transitions between tasks and naturally enhancing productivity. It’s not a superficial add-on; it’s embedded deeply into the platform. It’s what I always imagined Siri could be, but hasn’t become.
Furthermore, with OpenXR compatibility, developers have the freedom to innovate, whether through new tools, applications, or agents in this new realm. This isn’t about just translating your desktop into a 3D format. It’s about laying down the foundations for spatial productivity with AI at its core, designed with creators in mind.
I didn’t choose to work with Immersed to discuss futuristic environments and avatars. I joined because I truly believe spatial computing will revolutionize our work and lifestyle. The union of immersive spaces, intuitive tools, and always-on AI support represents a significant leap forward, arriving quicker than many anticipate. The team at Immersed possesses the vision, technological prowess, and dedication required to lead this transformation.
This isn’t solely for tech enthusiasts. The initiatives at Immersed target professionals across various fields, whether they’re engineers, designers, artists, or filmmakers. As AI and robotics continue to progress, the demand for immersive spatial platforms that deliver value will undoubtedly rise.
Visor is more than just a headset. The Immersed platform extends beyond being a simple virtual space for work. Curator exemplifies more than any typical AI agent. Combined, they create a dynamic ecosystem for professional growth and innovation.
We’re thrilled to invite you along on this journey. If you’ve been waiting for the right headset, developed by the right company, this is your moment to dive in. Join Immersed as we pioneer spatial computing and bring its benefits to everyone.
