Last week, the pre-orders for Monster Hunter Wilds made a splash on Steam, securing the third spot among the platform’s best sellers.
As excitement mounts for its February 28th launch, this latest addition to Capcom’s beloved action RPG series is moving up in the ranks. Even back in 2019, when Monster Hunter World was making waves, PC players quickly became a significant part of the game’s success.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 reclaimed its place at the top, and Civilization 7 climbed to second place. Although Civilization’s new chapter released on February 10th at number three, it seems a lack of extensive data initially masked its true popularity. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 slipped three positions to fourth, even as its sales surpassed the two-million mark. Apex Legends, benefiting from a fresh season of content, skyrocketed by 22 places to settle in fifth.
Elsewhere, Valve’s Steam Deck, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Marvel Rivals each dipped one spot, landing in sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively. The new RPG from Obsidian, Avowed, made its debut at ninth. Warframe made a return to the Top Ten, moving up two spots.
Here’s how the Steam Top Ten stacked up for the week ending February 18th:
1. Counter-Strike 2 – Valve
2. Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 – 2K Games
3. Monster Hunter Wilds – Capcom (P)
4. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – Plaion
5. Apex Legends – EA
6. Steam Deck – Valve
7. PUBG: Battlegrounds – Krafton
8. Marvel Rivals – NetEase
9. Avowed – Obsidian
10. Warframe – Digital Extremes
