PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have something exciting to look forward to this year. Four new games will be joining the service’s Game Catalog perk right as they launch. Among these is Remedy Entertainment’s latest multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which has just announced a new release window set for Summer 2025.
Set within the intriguing confines of The Oldest House, known from the hit game Control, FBC: Firebreak shifts its focus from Remedy’s usual narrative-heavy approach to concentrate more on the gameplay. This time, the emphasis is on delivering a live-service game experience, but without falling into the usual pitfalls of fostering fear of missing out (FOMO). The best part? All the content will be completely free to access whenever players wish, letting them engage at their own pace.
The latest trailer gives fans a sneak peek into the Paper Chase Job, one of the many missions in the game. In this mission, the Firebreak Initiative team faces the quirky task of clearing parts of The Oldest House from a sticky note invasion gone rogue. The trailer also showcases various loadouts that players can use in their ongoing fight against the Hiss menace.
Upon release, FBC: Firebreak will be accessible on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the Epic Games Store and Steam.
But that’s not all. In addition to FBC: Firebreak, three other games will enrich the Game Catalog. These include Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can dive into the first part of Lost Records right now, with its second part set to roll out next month.
In another perk for PS Plus members, there’s also an exclusive early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. Subscribers can snag some fantastic discounts on popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at the moment.
