Game Source Entertainment and Tokyo Virtual Theory (TVT) are excited to reveal that their rhythm roguelike action game, Ratatan, will soon be available on the Nintendo Switch.
Taking inspiration from Japan Studio and Pyramid’s iconic Patapon series, Ratatan transports players to the vibrant island of Rataport. Unlike the serene sea that surrounds it, this lively place is like a whimsical toy box, home to peculiar creatures known as Ratatan and their companions, the Cobun.
These characters, despite their diverse looks and personalities, are united by a shared dream: to reach The Everafter and meet the mysterious Goddess believed to dwell there. Their tenacity shines through, as they persist in their quest, undeterred by repeated setbacks.
Helmed by Patapon series producer, Hiroyuki Kotani, the game invites you to step into the role of Ratatan. You’ll wield magical instruments to guide your Cobun allies in battle, synchronizing your commands to the beat. Mastering these rhythm sequences unleashes Fever Mode, dynamically altering the music and unleashing special character actions.
Ratatan is scheduled for a digital release on the Nintendo eShop across the globe in 2025, bringing this enchanting journey to Switch players everywhere.
