According to insider NateDrake, two popular Xbox-exclusive games might be making their way to the PS5 later this year. These games have captured the hearts of Xbox fans, and one includes a character that many would argue is the face of the Xbox brand.
Recently, on the Nate The Hate Podcast, NateDrake shared some intriguing insights, mentioning that more Xbox games could be branching out to other platforms in 2025. This news goes beyond the anticipated releases like “Doom: The Dark Ages” and “The Outer Worlds 2.”
“So, some games I’ve heard might release on multiple platforms in 2025, besides the obvious ones. Notably, Flight Simulator is said to be coming to PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. Also, Halo: The Master Chief Collection could be heading to PS5 and Switch 2,” Nate Drake mentioned.
He added a bit more speculation by saying that, if the rumored Gears of War Collection is indeed real, it might launch on the PS5 from the get-go. Essentially, the belief is that any Xbox game debuting in 2025 might also land on PS5, whether immediately or after a while. The timing probably depends on the particular game.
As with most rumors, it’s wise to stay a bit skeptical until there’s official confirmation. These games haven’t been officially announced for these platforms yet. However, NateDrake has had a good track record, so there might be some merit to these whispers.
The idea of Halo arriving on PlayStation has been floating around for some time now. Just last year, former Xbox head Peter Moore hinted that discussions about a PlayStation version of Halo might be happening. Other insiders also suggested that Master Chief could make an appearance on PlayStation, potentially in a remastered version of the original game.
There have been previous rumors about Microsoft Flight Simulator possibly launching on PS5 as well.
