New Content Announced for Elden Ring

Elden Ring is poised to receive an exciting update in 2025, introducing brand-new armor, weapons, and a range of customization options for the game’s beloved mount, Torrent. This update comes as part of the Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, set to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2025. It includes not only the base game but also the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Players on other platforms won’t miss out either, as the new content will be available to them too.

The game has been a runaway success since its debut in 2022, quickly becoming one of the top-selling and most highly-acclaimed video games ever made. FromSoftware has diligently supported the game post-launch, offering free updates that enhanced the gaming experience with new features and improvements, while also tackling any issues players encountered.

In 2024, Elden Ring’s first and only expansion, the massive Shadow of the Erdtree, dropped to rave reviews, much like the original game. It was so well-received that it garnered a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2024, an accolade not often seen for downloadable content.
