Nintendo has just announced that their upcoming Nintendo Direct focused on the Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled to air tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The presentation is expected to run for approximately 60 minutes.
You can catch the live stream of the Nintendo Direct for the Nintendo Switch 2 at 6 AM PT, 9 AM ET, 2 PM BST, or 3 PM CEST, depending on your time zone.
Last month, Nintendo officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2, finally putting an end to the whirlpool of rumors and leaked information that had been circulating about the successor to their popular handheld console.
In the brief reveal video, we got a glimpse of the new console’s design, a teaser for a new Mario Kart game, and a confirmation that the device will maintain backwards compatibility with the original Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo also made it clear that the Switch 2 will support both physical and digital games from the original Nintendo Switch. However, they did caution that some specific titles might not be compatible or fully functional on the new system.
The global launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 is slated for sometime in 2025, though a precise release date has yet to be announced.
Nintendo has set up anticipation with the reveal trailer, and we’re eagerly awaiting more details as the date draws closer.
