In light of the tough financial climate, marked by soaring inflation and unpredictable currency fluctuations, SIE has had to make the difficult choice to adjust the recommended retail price (RRP) for the PlayStation 5 in certain regions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
Starting April 14, the new RRPs for the PS5 will be as follows:
In Europe, the PS5 Digital Edition now costs €499.99, with no changes for the version that includes an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive. Over in the UK, the PS5 Digital Edition is set at £429.99, again with no alteration for the standard PS5. Moving to Australia, the standard PS5 with the Blu-ray disc drive is priced at AUD $829.95, while the Digital Edition comes in at AUD $749.95. Meanwhile, in New Zealand, the standard PS5 is now NZD $949.95, and the Digital Edition is NZD $859.95.
It’s worth noting that the PS5 Pro prices remain the same.
Additionally, prices for the PS5 Disc Drive will see a reduction starting April 14. The new prices are as follows:
In Europe, the Disc Drive is available for €79.99. In the UK, it’s priced at £69.99. For Australia, you can now purchase it for AUD $124.95, and in New Zealand, it’s NZD $139.95.
