Disney Interactive has just announced a new addition to Disney Illusion Island—a free update that introduces the Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt, cleverly abbreviated as C.A.S.H.
With a little help from Scrooge McDuck and a brand-new ability called “Dig! C.A.S.H.,” players can embark on a quest to find permanent upgrades. Mark your calendars for May 30, 2025, because that’s when this update drops—not only adding new content but also expanding the game beyond its Nintendo Switch exclusivity by launching it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
If you haven’t tried it yet, Disney Illusion Island is a 2D co-op platformer. You’ll set out with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy to explore the enigmatic island of Monoth. The mission? To reclaim the three mystical Tomes that once safeguarded the island and prevent impending doom.
Developed by Dlala Studios, the same team that revamped the Battletoads for Xbox One and Windows PC, the game offers an immersive experience with the authentic voices of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, coupled with an original orchestral score. You’ve got the option to tackle the adventure solo or join forces with up to three friends in local co-op, unlocking special team strategies like Rope Drop, Leap Frog, and a heartwarming Hug to assist in rescuing the island.
