This week’s update on the Nintendo Switch eShop is packed with exciting classics, fresh tracks for the Nintendo Music app, enticing sales, and a slew of new game titles.
The Switch Online library is growing once again with four noteworthy entries from Koei’s SNES heyday. First, we’ve got Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness, which originally launched in 1993 and 1994. These games plunge you into Japan’s Sengoku period, challenging you to reunite the regions through strategy and cunning.
Following these is Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire, a 1994 classic rooted in Chinese history and based on the well-known novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This turn-based title demands strategic prowess as you navigate the turbulent era of the Second Han Dynasty.
Then there’s Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, which takes us on a nautical journey across Europe and beyond. Released in 1993, this game invites players to master the seas through trade and exploration during the Age of Discovery.
On the music side, the Nintendo Music app has added a collection of 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It’s a bit curious that it’s only a portion of the soundtrack; perhaps we can expect the rest to drop in later updates.
Looking at new arrivals, the eShop is also welcoming a variety of new games, including Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. If you’re curious about this one, tune into our recent Pure Nintendo Podcast episode where we chatted with the folks at Turtle Flip Studio, the developers behind this intriguing title.
That’s the scoop from the eShop this week. Which new additions catch your eye? We’d love to hear what you’re diving into this week!
