Rumor has it that pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter might be stepping into the Fortnite Festival spotlight soon. Known for her vibrant stage presence, the singer-songwriter has already collaborated with Fortnite previously, debuting her own emotes and Jam Tracks back in late 2024.
Epic Games, through its Boston-based subsidiary Harmonix Music Systems, initially launched Fortnite Festival in December 2023. Over the seasons, this rhythmic game mode has teamed up with high-profile artists, and now it’s navigating its seventh season, which started in January 2025 with a bang, featuring the virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.
As the collaboration with Hatsune Miku wraps up, industry insider and XboxEra co-founder, Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker, suggests that Sabrina Carpenter might just be next in line for the Fortnite Festival. Intriguingly, Baker shared a screenshot in January 2025 of an August 2024 conversation where an anonymous tipster hinted at Carpenter’s potential involvement.
In addition to these exciting rumors, there’s also chatter about Epic bringing a host of wrestlers—and even possibly James Bond—into the Fortnite universe. This would include wrestler-themed gear, posing the possibility of a themed season. While there’s no confirmation yet, Baker’s source couldn’t specify which iteration of the British spy might make an appearance. Previously, Baker accurately predicted the game’s collaborations with big names like The Boys and Pirates of the Caribbean, so there’s definitely credibility to these claims.
The Fortnite Festival has boasted a stellar lineup of seasonal collaborations since its inception. The Weeknd kicked things off for the first season between December 2023 and February 2024, followed by Lady Gaga, and a string of other big names like Billie Eilish, Metallica, and Snoop Dogg, leading up to the current season with Hatsune Miku. If the rumors hold true, Sabrina Carpenter will be the headliner when Season 8 rolls around, likely from April 2025.
Should Sabrina Carpenter headline the eighth season, it would be a continuation of her growing involvement with the Fortnite world. Her previous contributions, including purchasable emotes and Jam Tracks like Feather and Espresso, show her compatibility with the game’s vibe. These tracks are still available for Fortnite players at 500 V-Bucks apiece.
As fans eagerly await an official announcement regarding Season 8, there’s a good chance Epic Games will keep them on their toes until late spring 2025 before revealing what’s next. Given the company’s tendency for surprises, a formal confirmation may not come until the season is nearly upon us.
For those new to the Fortnite experience, the game is all about creative engagement. Players can team up with friends to explore vast and destructible environments or compete to outlast opponents in classic Battle Royale modes. With further options like creator-made games and cooperative ventures like Save the World, Fortnite offers something for everyone—whether it’s building up in a traditional match or opting for a no-build approach in Fortnite Zero Build.
