Rebellion is gearing up to launch Zombie Army’s maiden VR title next month, and it’s set to hit all the big VR platforms with its exciting co-op campaign.
Set to release on May 22nd, Zombie Army VR will be available for Quest 2 and newer models, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets. This game plunges you into the action-packed world of zombie-slaying chaos by making you part of the Deadhunters, an elite squad tasked with halting the apocalyptic mayhem.
Rebellion describes the game as a battle through swarms of the undead near the bomb-ravaged city of Nuremberg. Your mission? To lend a hand to Captain Hermann Wolff, the revered leader of the Deadhunters, in reuniting his family while striving to liberate Europe from an endless zombie siege.
This title promises a rich “full-length, story-driven campaign” that you can tackle alone or with a friend in two-player co-op mode. Fans of World War II weaponry will be glad to see a diverse arsenal, including sniper rifles, submachine guns, and pistols, which players can dual-wield and manually rack for an authentic experience.
As you progress, you’ll earn XP to level up your character and have the chance to tweak your weapons using Weapon Upgrade kits, enhancing aspects like range, accuracy, scope, and capacity.
Prepare to face off against more than just ordinary Nazi zombies. Expect to see all the terrifying favorites from the franchise: Armored Giants, Suiciders, Sniper Zombies, and more. And in what has become a signature of Rebellion’s titles, the X-ray Kill Cam will make a comeback in Zombie Army VR, letting you savor those long-range precision kills in slow-motion glory.
