World of Warcraft is once again delighting its dedicated fanbase with an enticing new offer. If you’re someone who commits to a six-month subscription, you’re in for a treat with the addition of the Timbered Sky Snake mount for modern WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic. These rewards, influenced by the upcoming Zodiac sign for 2025, are available to all players who purchase a bulk subscription or are already subscribed to one, and will arrive no later than January 31.
Since 2018, WoW has been offering these special in-game bonuses for players who subscribe for half a year at a time. Released twice a year in January and July, many of these rewards pay homage to the lunar Zodiac signs, like last year’s Auspicious Arborwyrm for the Year of the Wood Dragon in 2024.
The latest offering for WoW fans features the Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount themed for the Year of the Wood Snake, and its companion pet, the Timbered Air Snakelet, for those playing Cataclysm Classic. While you can snag these with a six-month subscription, they’re also available for individual purchase from the in-game store for $25 and $10. The Sky Snakelet, specific to the modern WoW edition, is available on the Battle.net shop for $10, although it is not part of the subscription deal.
If you’re on a recurring six-month subscription, rest assured, you won’t be left out. These rewards will be credited to eligible Battle.net accounts by the end of January and must be redeemed by the end of 2026. Looking ahead, these will likely make way for the Year of the Fire Horse themed items.
For those willing to up the ante with a 12-month commitment, Blizzard sweetens the deal with even more exclusive mounts and pets, including the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier for today’s WoW, as well as the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet for Classic. Keen collectors will also automatically receive July’s six-month subscription offers, making this a must-have deal.
In 2025, WoW’s roadmap is packed with excitement. Modern WoW is gearing up for two major patch releases, starting with patch 11.1 in the coming months, with a potential for player housing by year’s end. Classic’s evolution is also thrilling, with servers advancing to Mists of Pandaria, and the new anniversary realms sprinting through vanilla up to The Burning Crusade, as the Season of Discovery enters its final leg.
With so much in the pipeline for every version of World of Warcraft, now seems like the perfect moment to dive into a long-term subscription. It’s an exciting time for any WoW enthusiast!
